Mailing List Archive Instructions
This page provides instructions on how to access the mailing list archives.
- You must be subscribed to the mailing list.
- Obtain a username and password from Todd (Todd.Vincent@xmllegal.org).
- In your web browser, go to http://www.xmllegal.org/archives/tc87.html
- You should arrive at the TC87 archives main page. This page includes links to indexes of emails grouped by month. Click on a month, as shown below.
- After you click on a month, a challenge box will appear, as shown below. Type in the username and password provided by Todd in step 2.
- If this is the first time you have logged in to the archive, then click the get a new LISTSERV password link, as shown below (and continue reading). If you have logged in previously, then simply type in your email address and password (and stop reading, you are done).
- If this is the first time you have logged in to the archive, type your email address (this must be your subscription address) and any password that you will remember.
- After you click register password button, above, the message shown below will appear. You must check your email account for an email sent by LISTSERV. This email will allow you to confirm your password. This must be done before your password will become effective.
- After checking your email and completing the registration process, go back to step 3 and repeat steps 3 and 4. This will bring you back to the login screen below. Type your email address (this must be your subscription address) and your password. It is easier to use the Login button at the top. (If you use a cookie, you will not ever have to login again on the machine where the cookie resides. If you use the bottom button, without a cookie, then you will have to login every time.)
- After you login using the Login button at the top, you will see the following message. Click the link circled below.
- After clicking the link circled above, you will arrive in the list archive (in the month you clicked in step 4). At the top of the page, there are various useful links that allow you to sort and search emails that are stored in the archive.
